The high-gloss finish and the ebony fingerboard have the same effect on the sound of the Concert Deluxe as on the sopranos: the sound becomes more defined and clearer with more heights.

And as with the matt lacquered Concerts, the MGCD offers the warmest sound, the ACD and MCD both have more heights.

For me, the MGCD is therefore well suited for fingerstyle or similar. This also fits the very flat-oriented string position, it really plays "by itself". However, if you're really intoxicated, you'd better look for another model; the MGCD will respond with a buzz to a powerful attack.
